Funding Your Independent Film, Part 1: Kickstarter
Whether your film is in need of funds, fans or both, Kickstarter's Film Program Director Elisabeth Holm will cover all the basics of running a successful and meaningful Kickstarter campaign. She'll shed light on how to not only reach your funding goal, but—just as important!—use Kickstarter as a space to grow and connect with your audience.
If you're unfamiliar with the platform, or if you're looking for tips on how to launch a second campaign, Elisabeth will present best practices and case studies. She'll be joined by writer/director Anja Marquardt, who will discuss her experiences with the Kickstarter campaign for SHE'S LOST CONTROL, which successfully raised more than $50,000 from 324 separate backers.
Please come ready with ideas and questions, and hopefully you'll leave ready (and excited!) to start your project.
