Introduction to AVID Media Composer: 5-Day Course

This is a five-day intensive Introduction to Avid Media Composer course. The course will lead students through interface and basic editing techniques. This course will provide an introductory foundation to AVID Media Composer's audio- and video-effects capabilities. Students will be instructed using a real-world, hands-on approach.

This course is a crucial step in learning Avid Media Composer, the standard editing system used by professionals in the film and television industries.

PREREQUISITES: Participants must have a general understanding of how to work with video and have a healthy enthusiasm for learning more about video production.
CLASSES: Classes will meet from 1:00 to 6:00pm each day, Monday–Friday, June 3–7.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your registration is NOT complete, and your seat in class is not guaranteed, until you secure your place with a refundable $250 deposit. Your deposit will be returned to you in full on the first day of class.

If for any reason you are unable to attend, please contact sapter@wgaeast.org as soon as possible so that we can refund your deposit and one of your colleagues may take your seat. Failure to cancel by 5:00pm on Monday, May 20 will result in forfeiture of your deposit. Thank you.
